Hooligan was hiding in Belgrade

08.11.09

Stepa Petrovic (31) was arrested the day before yesterday in the center of Belgrade over suspicion that he was in a group of hooligans that had brutally beaten Brice Taton (28) a fan of the ‘Toulouse’ FC on September 17. Taton died two weeks later on September 29 at the Clinical Center of Serbia.

As ‘Blic’ learns Petrovic was handcuffed in the King Aleksandar Boulevard and gave no resistance during arrest.
‘He was in the group of hooligans that had beaten Taton, but he is not the one who killed him. He was not connected with the criminal circles and was hiding in Belgrade all the time’, a source from the Police told ‘Blic’.
The police are still searching for Dejan Puzigaca from Zemun and Djordje Prelic from Belgrade. Prelic is believed to be one of the organizers of the lynching.
‘We believe that Puzic is still hiding in Serbia while Prelic fled abroad’, our source said.
